Full course description
Prepare to confidently teach the redesigned Cornerstone curriculum, launching institution-wide in Fall 2026! This comprehensive training is mandatory to prepare new and experienced SLS professors to teach the new course curriculum. Participants will gain a deep understanding of the revised learning outcomes, course structure, pedagogical approaches, and assessments. We will explore how to effectively leverage the OER textbook, the SLS Canvas Master Shell, and other essential resources to foster first-year student success.
This event will take place from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM on the Lee Campus and will consist of several sessions, including an informal "Q & A" lunch with full-time SLS faculty (lunch will be provided) and a dedicated, guided planning hour with laptops available, allowing you to begin developing your course syllabus and customizing your Canvas shell with expert support.
