American Heart Association (AHA) - Basic Life Support (BLS) Course

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to:
- Recognize life-threatening emergencies
- Perform high-quality chest compressions
- Deliver ventilations using pocket masks and bag-valve masks (BVM)
- Provide early use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Relieve choking in adult and pediatric patients
This training reflects the latest science from the AHA Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
This is an instructor-led course that includes:
- Simulated clinical scenarios and hands-on learning stations
- Skills practice and testing with an AHA BLS Instructor
- A 25-question multiple-choice written exam
Important Registration Information
- You must use your own personal email and cellphone number when registering. This is required to receive and claim your AHA eCard.
- Arrive early — instruction begins promptly at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may not be admitted.
- Check your confirmation email for payment instructions and course details.
