Combined ACLS + BLS Provider Course
Bonita Senior Center
25999 Old 41 Rd, Bonita Springs, FL 34135
This combo course is designed for healthcare professionals who need certification in both Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). It is ideal for those who participate in or lead the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and cardiovascular emergencies, as well as first responders and clinical staff involved in direct patient care.
All students must complete the ACLS pre-course self-assessment and turn it in before class begins. This is required for course participation.
The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to:
- Promptly recognize life-threatening emergencies
- Deliver high-quality chest compressions
- Provide effective ventilations using a pocket mask and bag-valve mask
- Utilize an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) early
This course reflects the latest science and guidelines from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
The BLS course includes instructor-led practice in simulated clinical scenarios, skills testing, and a multiple-choice written exam.

The ACLS course is designed for healthcare providers who manage or respond to cardiovascular emergencies. It emphasizes:
- Team dynamics and effective communication
- Immediate post-cardiac arrest care
- Airway management and related pharmacology
- Cardiac arrest and acute dysrhythmia management
Students will participate in both large-group and small-group sessions, including scenario-based learning and skills testing. A written exam is required at the end of the course.
